It appears you are aiming to write something light and humorous, with rhyming couplets and lines of irregular length. A good choice.

You are doing well with your first four lines, Shannon. How many do you have to write?

To get some more ideas, maybe focus on some of the more frustrating aspects of assembling/or sharing/or managing/or playing the CDs in your collection, or on the equipment needed, or on the different musical tastes of your family members (do some believe that playing music louder makes it better?) or your friends, or animals, or on the bizarre names of some of the musical groups, or on the weird photos used for some album covers. Really the possibilities are endless. Once you get the ideas flowing, you'll find they keep coming faster than you can remember. I suggest you keep a notebook to jot them down as soon as you think of them. You can sort them and select the most usable later.

Then you just have to work out which ones are easiest to make rhyming couplets out of, and finally which one is the best to end your poem with some kind of punchline.

Good luck!

If the next song isn't calm, what does it make you do? Dance, throw things, make faces? Does your mom come and turn it off?

I've found that I've bought a cd for a song and the rest of the album is so totally NOT like the song I liked.....If i were writing this poem, i would explore the feelings of frustration, if you dont like the next song, or what pam said.

And then there's the album you love so much that you play it and play it and play it and play it and play it and then you're so sick of it you can't ever listen to it again...

The album you love with the ONE SONG you hate so when you hear the previous song ending you rush over to skip the bad one.

The song you don't really like, but it fades out instead of ending so it's the one that sticks in your mind.

The song you loved until you really listened to the lyrics.

hi my name is christine and i have to write a music poem for school this is what i wrote:

Do you hear melody, Ido
every life you sing it and speak it too
noody cares how long it goes,
as long as they belt out a wonderful note

It is sucj a pleasure to hear,
all the voices crying to a wondrful year
Singing a tune wherever they go
learning and practicing a superb new song

Lovely voices carrying through the air
Brightening someones day
so they work without a care!

Not a "who", it's a "what"

Ido is Reformed Esperanto
