Has anyone here ever read this book? It's very funny, especially for those of us who are sticklers for good grammar.

Well, reading a book about grammar had never seemed like a page-turner for me, but next week I'll be starting a grammar class and maybe I'll check it out to lift the gloom and boredom. I should be excited about grammar since I am going to be an english teacher.....gee I think I just made myslef sound like a horrible bore.

Talia - Eats, shoots and leaves went down a storm in the UK and topped the bestseller lists for a bit. I read it and thought it was good, though not the best thing I've ever read (which some people told me they thought). It's certainly many streets ahead of a normal grammar textbook. It does an excellent job of making grammar comprehensible without sending you to sleep, isn't so long you forget it all as you reach the end of each chapter and the illustrations are great!! Considering your future career - I'd say it's an essential tool!
