I have read lots of Holocaust poetry, but I have never come across poetry written from a Nazi perspective. Does anybody know of any poetry from a Nazi perspective?

IN the mean time, look at TIME'S ARROW (a novel) by Martin Amis.

With trepidation, I just did a net search for "nazi poetry" and the first thing I found was a well tended page of "poetry in praise of Adolf Hitler, poetry generally written in a worshipful tone":

I saw two more hits mentioning "Nazi poetry and song" but I didn't look at them for lack of time.

So that's one way to get poetry written frankly from a Nazi p.o.v.

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR POETRY BY NON-NAZIS, WRITTEN AS IF SPOKEN BY A NAZI, that may be harder to search for.

Again, I recommend TIME'S ARROW by Martin Amis and also SOPHIE'S CHOICE by Wm. Styron. There's a passage in SOPHIE'S CHOICE (the book, not the movie) about what might have been going on in the mind of the captain who made Sophie choose. (I'll be vague in case you haven't seen or read it already.) For me, that's the heart of the book, the most amazing passage in it.

The Fuhrer Bunker, by W D Snodgrass, is a set of dramatic monologues imagining the thoughts and views of leading nazis at the end of the war.

Newton, do you mean written by GERMANS ? Ones who may have joined the Nazi party because it was the thing to do during those times, without the benefit of hindsight?
