If you are using Windoze, you can access the Character Map to cut-and-paste the ascii symbols. Or, just hold down the Alt key and type 0169 on the numeric keypad; let up on the alt key and © will magically appear. Similarly, alt+0174 will produce ®. It is probably the same on Apple, but I am not sure.

I'm sort of wondering the same, and did it ever really leave? You have a pretty specific time-frame.....are you a prophet?

Perhaps he means "Grange" and a return to more agrarian roots.
