There was a poem on GI Jane at the end of the movie. Something about a bird/frozen/hanging on/sorrow/sympahy. They flashed it so fast I couldn't read it all but caught some key words. Does anyone have any idea the poem that was featured in that movie? I've love to find it.
Thanks,
Self-Pity
I never saw a wild thing
sorry for itself.
A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough
without ever having felt sorry for itself.
D. H. Lawrence
its called
self pity
d.h. lawrence
I too was interested in the poem. It is by D. H. Lawrence and entitled Self-Pity.
Well, at least we're all in agreement.
