Hi, I'm a graphic designer who's not very good with or interested in poetry, but I need to find a really nice poem about graduation. It will be used on the cover of the Hays Daily News' seniors special, and therefore, must not be copyrighted! (The Hays Daily News is a newspaper in Kansas.) I'd like to find something epic, about friendships and leaving home and the emotional aspects of graduating from high school.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks!
Hippy, for a hundred bucks, I'll write you one. If you don't want to shell out the bucks, try Google.

Best by far would be a poem by someone IN Hays, Kansas -- and I bet you could get one in 24 hours by asking any highschool English teacher to invite students to come up with something.
Tell them HOW LONG you want the poem (four lines? 12? up to 24?).
Great idea!!! I'm going to call their English instructor right now. Thanks!!
hi, i'm lookimg for a poem which points out that aksing for help is a good thing!!
Hi there,
I am looking for a poem for my graduation dinner speech ( finishing of 11yrs of surgery trainning). These are the related key words: inspiration, role model, guidance, appreciation, teaching and learning and sacrifice. Is any one knows a nice poem for this occasion? Audience will be other surgeons (professors).
I knew physicians have bad handwriting, but they don't have to learn spelling or grammar either?
No they don't !
except for technical stuff such as otorhinolarynginal or the like
I am trying to find a poem about the Piper Cub entitled, "The Old J-3" Any help will be greatly appreciated. The poem starts like this: " Remember when we pressed our face, against the fence that marked the place, the place where the airplanes came to rest.........
Jerry my best advice would be to go to a library, university library if possible, and ask them to try to find an issue of the magazine in which you originally saw the poem. They would then have either a copy of the magazine, or file of it. It's not on the net to my knowledge, but your original question is:

A Birthday poem involving a reference to a flower
Katie, you are more likely to attract the attention of someone who can help you if you start a separate thread with this request (click on 'New Topic' at the top) and give the thread a more informative title such as 'Birthday poem referring to a flower'.

Any particular flower? There are thousands of poems mentioing flowers in some way - hundreds abour roses, for example, ones about specific flowers - like The Daffoldils by Wordsworth, To The Fringed Gentian by William Cullen Bryant; some are about lots of different named flowers - like The Meadow Wreath by V Knox and Hedges by Celia Fleming, and ones about flowers in general. If it's for a birthday, does it have to be a flower blooming in the month of the event, or one summing up the type of person whose birthday it is ?- if so we need a bit more detail.
