Hi from Germany, I am 12 years old and I am looking for a nice poem for my english teachers / female birthday. She is absolutely allright... but it is very difficult to find the right words to say thank you, your are allright, your lessons are somtimes very difficult... your test are mostly tough but least not last you are allright... hope we see us next year again... and so far... When you thought I wasn’t looking, you displayed my first report, and I wanted to do another.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, you fed a stray cat, and I thought it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, you gave me a sticker, and I knew that little things were special things.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, you put your arm around me, and I felt loved.

When you thought I wasn’t looking I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt--but that it’s all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, you smiled, and it made me want to look that pretty too.

When you thought I wasn’t looking, you cared, and I wanted to be everything I could be.

When you thought I wasn’t looking--I looked...and wanted to say thanks for all those things you did when you thought I wasn’t looking.

He gave us special friends

It's such a wonderful description of how everyone is a teacher, whether we mean to be or not.

I keep going back to 'I want to teach my students . . ' and thinking it should say children, as it's at least as appropriate to parents.

syay from the heart how you feel about him, how he makes you feel, what you really like about him, and then post it here and someone should be able to "poem-ize" it up for you

Rather than that, merely write in your own words an anecdote including some true incident from the class where the teacher helped you or one of your classmates. I think this would mean more to your teacher than a poem no matter how famous, written (or poemized) by someone else.
