For anyone here who will be in New South Wales, Australia, this weekend -
the annual Shakespeare Festival is on again on the banks of the Avon River, downstream from Stratford, in the pretty town of Gloucester, 270 kms north of Sydney.
There will be jousting and entertainment on the village green, carvery feasts, a performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by a professional Shakespeare company, etc etc - lots to see and do.
(And a good excuse to visit a few Hunter Valley wineries on the way)

When last I went visiting Gloucester,
With plans to be jabbing my jouster
At a dame who liked carvery,
I ended with starvery
When the heft of my lance failed to roust 'er.
lol! i'm still trying to think of a response, Hugh, but i think my brain's gone on holidays.
I was just browsing through the link i posted above and discovered some rather unusual local sites under "attractions".
Should be an interesting weekend.
