Challenge to find lines in a poem

Years ago, I heard or read the following lines - I have no idea where they come from, but would like to be able to read the entire work. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated:

"For all the sins man's face is black with,
Man's forgiveness give, then take"

Oh, Thou, who Man of baser Earth didst make,
And who with Eden didst devise the Snake;
For all the Sin wherewith the Face of Man
Is blacken'd, Man's Forgiveness give - and take!

I didn't remember this one from the Rubaiyat, thanks for the (bookmarked) link.

Interesting take on Genesis, from the Islamic side, this time.
