Does anyone have a link or a poem for a WWII poem. Britt Cummings was killed in 1945 in action and our city is dedicating a day to him. We would like to have a war poem relevant to his honor. Thanks in advance for helping.
There are lots of websites devoted to "war poetry" and to the poetry of specific wars.
Try searching for ["world war II" + poetry] and ["world war two" + poetry] and you'll find plenty.

I just discovered a wonderful list of 120 war poems, listing titles under the war concerned, and it has 20 under WW2 including some very good ones but unfortunately the links to the actual poems no longer work. Depends what kind of poem you wanted, and what kind of death he died. Lincoln Kirstein, Randall Jarrell, Alun Lewis, Keith Douglas all wrote fine poems in WWII. try googling.
