Can anyone tell me more about Black Mountain Poetry, some examples would
be helpful.

So far, I have gathered:-

Black Mountain College was founded in 1933
The school came about on behalf of John Andrew Rice. He had been in an argument with the president over educaitonal policies and procedures. Rice joined former colleagues in raising funds to establish a new college where they could demonstrate and express their educational theories. They soon found enough money to lease a building owned by a religious organization in Black Mountain, North Carolina, which was the site of their newly founded experiment.

Rice's emphasis on the college involved a desire for an institution that would allow individuals :

"to develop according to their abilities rather than preach the dictates of any disciplin or the requirements for particular careers."

Any more information or examples of poetry would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't know anything about BLACK MOUNTAIN POETRY, but went looking because I remember my mother saying that Robert Creeley was a wonderful teacher.
