Well, the title explains it all =D. I just need help finding 10 poems with a theme basically on trust. If you can submit links or names of authors, titles of poems, that would be great =) and it doesn't have to be all 10. Thanks =D.

This one would work for friendship or trust.

The Thousandth Man
by: Rudyard Kipling

One man in a thousand, Solomon says,
Will stick more close than a brother.
And it's worth while seeking him half your days
If you find him before the other.
Nine nundred and ninety-nine depend
On what the world sees in you,
But the Thousandth man will stand your friend
With the whole round world agin you.

'Tis neither promise nor prayer nor show
Will settle the finding for 'ee.
Nine hundred and ninety-nine of 'em go
By your looks, or your acts, or your glory.
But if he finds you and you find him.
The rest of the world don't matter;
For the Thousandth Man will sink or swim
With you in any water.

You can use his purse with no more talk
Than he uses yours for his spendings,
And laugh and meet in your daily walk
As though there had been no lendings.
Nine hundred and ninety-nine of 'em call
For silver and gold in their dealings;
But the Thousandth Man h's worth 'em all,
Because you can show him your feelings.

His wrong's your wrong, and his right's your right,
In season or out of season.
Stand up and back it in all men's sight --
With that for your only reason!
Nine hundred and ninety-nine can't bide
The shame or mocking or laughter,
But the Thousandth Man will stand by your side
To the gallows-foot -- and after!

Trust

Thank you
For helping me FORGET
-for a time-

That I have seen
(what appeared to be)
Human beings

Look at me

The way a lion
Must look at
An antelope

Searching the internet for [poem + trust] produces a great QUANITY of material but very poor quality. I just tried Bartleby and did better. If you haven't gone there yet:

Go to [www.bartleby.com] /> Click on VERSE tab
Type TRUST in the window and see what comes up.
(Or type related words.)

This is the first "hit" I got:

======================

One Way of Trusting
by Hannah Parker Kimball (pre-1900)

NOT trust you, dear? Nay, ’t is not true.
As sailors trust the shifting sea
From day to day, so I trust you.
They know how smooth the sea can be;
And well they know its treachery 5
When tempests blow; yet forth they thrust
Their ships, as in security.

You can do a similar search on Emule's poet list. (or many others, the trick is to find a good archive)

America to England
by: Katharine Lee Bates

1899
Who would trust England, let him lift his eyes
To Nelson, columned o'er Trafalgar Square,
Her hieroglyph of duty, written where
The roar of traffic hushes to the skies;
Or mark, while Paul's vast shadow softly lies
On Gordon's statued sleep, how praise and prayer
Flush through the frank young faces clustering there
To con that kindred rune of sacrifice.
O England, no bland cloud-ship in the blue,
But rough oak plunging on o'er perilous jars
Of reef and ice, our faith will follow you
The more for tempest roar that strains your spars
And splits your canvas, be your helm but true,
Your courses shapen by the eternal stars.
