If you post the stanzas you "don't get," perhaps someone will help you.

Ashley, you grub. Take your silly quiz somewhere else. If you can't see that it has no place in this thread, then this forum is not the place for you.

For who, to dumb forgetfulness a prey,
This pleasing anxious being e'er resign'd,
Left the warm precincts of the cheerful day,
Nor cast one longing lingering look behind?

Quote:
Quetzalcoatl

For who, to dumb forgetfulness a prey,
(even for one who is forgetful)

This pleasing anxious being e'er resign'd,
(who ever left this pleasing, insecure existence)

Left the warm precincts of the cheerful day,
(and left the warm, cheerful day)

Nor cast one longing lingering look behind?
(witbout looking back at what he was leaving with regret (i.e. life itself))

Whoever when dying, forgot the pleasure and comfort of life without regret.
