I have heard recited a very, to me, touching poem exposing much of the sadness and cruelty that could touch a man's inner being and soul, of Slavery in this country- or any other country..It has as narrator the Ship's First Lieutenant as he stands watch or on a deck above the load of slaves being carried in "The Middle Passage." I don't think he used the words:'Middle Pssage", but may have? I have tried in the past to find a copy of that poem- to no avail..it's not a short poem, but to me again, very touching and almost sad! You know of it? By whom? Where?? Thanks Boug Beaty
