Happy To Be Back

In case you have not read Les' most recent post under the heading, "Attention Rudy.....," you can get back on the mule by creating a new login ID without entering an email address. You must do this in response to a post in any forum...it does not work if you click on "login."

I've been unable to post for more than a month but I have been reading all the USP and GD posts. I'm hoping this "solution" will continue to work until Rudy gets his degree and has some time to make the permanent fix.

It's good to have you back, Joe. A question about the new log-in. Are you able to edit your posts and everything else you did with your old log-in name?

Les:

Thanks for the welcome. Unfortunately, because you can't actually login, the system doesn't know who you are when you enter a thread. You don't identify yourself until you actually post a poem or reply to an existing thread. Consequently, it is not possible to edit a previous post. Also, you can't access the personal message functionality for the same reason. However, just being able to communicate again is worth those minor inconveniences.

Joe, I figured that that might be the case. Too bad, I wish the software was either, more forgiving, or more forgetting.

Glad to see you made it back, Joe, and that your discovery should help others be able to communicate again too.

Marty:

Actually, it is Vic Jefferies who discovered this workaround solution. I just wanted to pass along the step-by-step process that I used to get back on. Hopefully, it will help others.
