goodbye

There is someone here who has made me infinitely sad.

With deep sadness and regret, I am leaving the forum.

All best to my fellow poets, until we meet in the next world.

Well, make sure you get in the last word, I always say. I usually stalk off in a huff right after that, sure. That'll teach 'em to mess with me!

Or is it, halk off in a stuff? I can never remember.

Like Groucho said, sometimes I leave in a huff, sometimes in a minute and a huff

Around here I don't think anyone ever leaves they just lurk in the shadows until the time is right then they reappear with more bad poetry.

I did actually think you were a nice guy til now Les :(
now I see that all that golf has given you greater handicaps than you imagined.

So disappointing to have the ones you admire fall . . .

and here she is with a jazz legend---do any of the Three Stooges know who he is?

Lisa, I've seen many poets, some of them very, very good, leave this forum. I miss most of them for their work.

But, I ask myself each time one leaves: "Why would you post before a virtual audience of millions, if you are so thin-skinned that you cannot tolerate opposing points of view?"

Here's a relevant quote: “When men are most sure and arrogant they are commonly most mistaken, giving views to passion without that proper deliberation which alone can secure them from the grossest absurdities” ---David Hume

LES---

I guess I wasn't very clear!!

I was getting Passive Agressive PRIVATE MESSAGES from a certain ABUSIVE MALE.

DO I NEED EXPOSE HIM HERE???

I learned that when I'm being RAPED to fight back.
It had nothing to do with poetry crits (which I actually love).

Sorry that you didn't GET IT!! I'm not surprised.

AND IT'S UNKIND TO MOCK SOMEONE'S SADNESS---DIDN'T YOU EVER LEARN THAT???

Go back and get educated and smart.

Lisa

"opposing points of view?"

I love them---they help me learn when they are objectively made.

FROM LESTER---Here's a relevant quote:

“When men are most sure and arrogant they are commonly most mistaken, giving views to passion without that proper deliberation which alone can secure them from the grossest absurdities” ---David Hume

Another GOOD quote LES!! GOLLY GEE WHIZ---Maybe you should learn it along with getting your handicap down below 120 and getting those short putts in.

I would have reported this VERY un-gentleman to the MODERATOR but then that would be YOU!!

Pseudo-apologies for the skepticism---and he joins the ranks.

I THINK IT WOULD BE VERY INTERESTING TO TAKE A VOTE HERE TO SEE HOW
MANY WOMEN ENJOY BEING MENTALLY ABUSED AND / OR RAPED? ANY HANDS?

All best,

Lisa

I don't know what is going on here, but there is several moderators, so you can always address one of us if there is a problem and we will pass it on to the admin. There is no need to report anyone in public. A private message or email will do. Of course, we can't keep people from sending messages from another log-in, but don't judge the majority here on one person's spamming. And truth to tell, I had no idea either you were referring to private messages, until you mentioned it in a reply to Les.

In short, if you wish the issue to be looked into, feel free to email me or to send a mssg.

Thank you so much Desi---

Unfortunately the issue is so complicated that it would require a dissertation to explain it and in the past 2 years, between doctors for Calvin and writing issues, I have little faith in mankind actually being good and hardly trustworthy.

My beef here is what everyone can see in the reactions on this thread far up.

Would it hurt for people to say, "Sorry to see you leave, but if you ever find the desire to return, we welcome you back open-armed."

HURT causes anger.

ARE WE POETS or the most insecure group of people on earth
to the extent that we destroy each other?

Look at Fink's poems and how many even bothered to respond.

I saw his work as sad cries from the human heart. He is sweet and in pain.
Yet barely no one said dick to him.

It sucks---every poet I know writes out of pain
so shouldn't we all be cognisant of that fact?

If we aren't---I GIVE UP.

xoxo Desi---I sense that you are good and do care,

Lisa

I think you need to ask youself why you thought it necessary to announce to the whole world that some single annoyance in your entire life was worth the tantrum. Like folks on Usenet, who are obliged to loudly proclaim PLONK when they killfile a particular poster. Childish whining, my view, and boring to the point of tears.

If you now again find it necessary to announce your immediate departure, so be it. Personally, I feel you could be a bit more mature about the whole thing. Get over yourself, that is.

Hmmmmmmm---three old men jeering at someone's sadness
behind her back----

I'd call that pretty immature.

Maybe ya outa take a peek at Johnny's page of the gospel according to Thomas.

And "boring to the point of tears"----from the man who enjoys studying

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaapples

bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbberries,

cccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccats

OH PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPLEASE-------
DDDDDDDDDDDO
GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGIVE
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMME A
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO WORK IN A SOUP KITCHEN FOR A CHANGE.

I'm was just talking about human courtesy HUGH-boy.

I feel sorry for men like you with tiny penises.

(and on a side note---did it ever occur to you that I was saying bye to the kind people here who I've enjoyed, which are too many to Private Message---the kind of folks who walk their guest to the door and shake their hand and give a hug?
not people like you---I've seen your rudeness before with Ebon---you're not a good person BABY-HUGHEY---didn't your momma cradle you enough?)

YES INDEED----

JOHNNY, LESTER AND BABY-HUGHEY---

then again there are people like yourselves who actually have REDWOOD TREE LOGS in their eyes that need CHAINSAWS TO REMOVE.....

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR starting it up for you BOYS!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH now maybe you can see way better.

I will keep you in my prayers, expecially Hugh for his tiny penis---
there is always hope for such maladies---there are also penis pumps if it becomes hopeless.

good-bye---parting, farewell, adieu. Has this definition changed?

Hugh, I'm so sorry to hear of your tiny penis. Sometimes you are rude, but I like that in a person. It's part of your charm. : )

Johnny, the yacht reference is a cheap shot. I'm still laughing.

This whole thing is delicious! Maybe someone should compose a poem.

Everyone who reads this and who believes in prayer---

at ten am tomorrow, say a prayer for Fink,
that whatever causes his pain will ease.

I believe that prayer in numbers works.
