SENTENCING IS JANUARY 12!

Please follow the link and add your signature asking the Judge for the maximum punishment... which is still just a slap on the wrist, but better than letting this freak go unpunished!
Just think of the pain, fear, confusion, and betrayal that had to have been felt as this woof died under that tree. Anyone who would do this to a defenseless loving being is evil... pure evil! If i would have been there the fucker would have never made it to court! growls

SENTENCING IS JANUARY 12!
-------------
We ask that 40-yr-old Frank Aquino who is charged with aggravated animal cruelty, a felony, if convicted be given the maximum penalty of up to two years jail time and a $5,000 fine. A small price to pay for taking life of a defenseless dog. Mr. Aquino is accused of viciously kicking a 15-yr-old, deaf and blind dog, named Roxie to death.
Witnesses say that after Aquino kicked Roxi so hard in the stomach, she rolled several times and then staggered to a neighboring yard where she died under a tree.
This is where her guardians found their beloved friend, whom they had raised since she was a puppy. "To viciously kick a dog is beyond words," said one of them. "She was such a sweet animal. We'd come in the door and her tail would be wagging. Now she is gone, and in such a horrible way."
Being deaf and blind, Roxie couldn't hear or see to run from her attacker!
Here you go Ebon, I'm afraid this is not the audience you seek.

You mean no one here cares enough about animals to click a petition? Then this truly isn't the place for me either.
By the way, I'm not a vegetarian.

Petitions like these are even more meaningless, and have less effect, than the votes for Pop Idol or Big Brother.
It is more difficult to ignore idividual letters composed by the sender and not copied from a stardard form.
Call me a cynic, but I suspect the link is one that harvests e-mail addresses from those foolish enough to participate in the scam. Their own 'privacy policy' appears to verify such abuse.
Furthermore, the link provided claims that,
"Guests at 40-yr-old Frank Aquino's Memorial Day Bar-B-Que reported that he viscously kicked a 15-yr-old deaf and blind dog to death. Roxie, the dog, wandered into Aquino's yard during the B-B-Q, attraced by the smell of food."
Besides the strange act of viscously kicking the dog, which probably means he had sticky barbecue sauce on his shoes, what sick and demented dog owner would allow a blind dog the opportunity to leave the house and possibly wander into a public street, to be likely struck by a passing car?
There is also the odd request from folks who were not there and did not see the incident to claim the right to pass judgment on it. Surely the judge in the case will have all the facts and should be trusted to rule correctly. Who knows, the dog could very well have been biting the leg of the alledged kicker. I personally cannot say one way or the other, since I also was not there.
Lastly, someone who gets angry and threatens to leave when their opinions are not slobbered over is entirely too childish to deal with in any case. Good-bye and best of luck with the rest of your life, Ebon.
