Excessive intake of alcohol and drugs kills brain cells
Naturally these predators kill the slowest and weakest brain cells first

Ergo, the regular consumption of alcohol and drugs
Eliminates the weaker slower brain cells
Making a faster and more efficient mind

Moderation...If you moderate your drug/alchohol intake you'll never kill enough cells to notice you were missing any at all. As for the damaging hard to replace neurons while at the same time killing cells...I believe this to be true but I as I understand, it is much harder to damage neurons than to kill cells so this theory may have some truth. I do know that a glass of wine a day is supposed to be healthy for us...not sure if it is in the same category though. As for drugs, some just damage way more than a few brain cells.
